Taylor Edmonds, founder of Writing for Joy

Writing is transformative

I provide creative writing and journaling workshops that promote mindfulness, self-expression and wellbeing. Through gentle, guided exercises, I provide participants with the tools to explore their creativity in a space that feels warm and welcoming.

With training in writing for therapeutic purposes, I understand first hand the transformative nature of creativity. I show people that anyone can be a writer, and anyone can have a journaling habit that helps them find joy in the everyday.

I have experience working with both adults and young people in a variety of settings. I have worked with community groups, charities, schools and youth clubs, hospitals and corporate clients.

You can book me for an online or in-person workshop, for a one-off or series of events.

“It was a gift to work with Taylor – her workshop sessions were rich, honest and supportive of people new to writing. The impact was massive, people felt empowered to write about themselves & the world around them – some reading aloud for the first time.

Taylor’s writing works so well for workshops – it connects on a human level, it’s full of emotion, depth and honesty. People see themselves & their worlds reflected back – it supports them to imagine themselves as writers.”
