A cosy and creative online journaling workshop exploring our connection to folklore.

Thursday 17th September | 7-8pm | Zoom

Through guided journal prompts, we’ll explore the resonance of tales and rituals throughout generations by revisiting the stories and practices of our childhood and locations, considering how they’ve shaped the way we see and engage with the world.

You can expect…

  • A guided grounding exercise to start
  • Gentle creative journal prompts exploring the theme of folktales

  • Support to use writing as a wellbeing tool in your day to day

  • Setting intentions for the month ahead

  • To join a community of like-minded, creative people

The Writing for Joy journal club is a monthly virtual creative journaling session. Each month we’ll meet and you’ll be guided through gentle writing prompts around a particular theme. If you find journaling a chore or struggle with the blank page, the journal club will give you ideas and community to spur your writing along. There’s no pressure to have your camera on or share anything in the session. You’re welcome to kick back or contribute as much as you like.

This session runs on a pay what you can basis between £4-£8. If you can’t make it on the night, the workshop will be recorded and sent out to everyone afterwards.

About the facilitator

I’m a writer, poet and creative facilitator from South Wales. I have a huge passion for promoting the positive benefits of writing for wellbeing, which has led me to facilitating writing and journaling workshops for adults and young people. I want to show everyone how creativity can enrich their daily life and help them live more mindfully.
